Huh? 31.95% DON’T know what a “Squeeze Page” is?

Filed Under (Instant MLM Sqeeze Pages, SEO, internet marketing, network, ppc network, web design) by Chris Dockery on 15-06-2009

Recently, James Grandstaff revealed something
that I found quite interesting…

If you’ve been around the IM (internet marketing) scene for awhile, you’ve most likely heard the term “squeeze page” before, right?

At least that’s what I thought.

Well, James surveyed approx. 500 people on his list who are interested in making money online. Many stated they were interested in affiliate marketing, product creation, MLM, etc…

One of the questions was “Do you know what a
“Squeeze Page” is?”

68.05% answered yes and 31.95% answered NO.

To be honest…

I was shocked that 31.95% said no.

What about you?

In light of this shocking survey data I decided to
write this post today to go over the very basics
of what a squeeze page is and why you should
be using them in your business (if you are not
already.)

And for those of you who already use them, pay
attention. You will probably learn something too.

Here goes…

A squeeze page which is also known as a “lead
capture page” or “name squeeze page” is a simple
web page with one purpose; to get your visitor
to give you their name and email address so you
can follow-up with them. That’s it.

One of the best ways to get someone to opt-in
to your squeeze page is by offering something
of high perceived value such as a mini ecourse
or a highly targeted eBook.

For example, let’s say you are promoting a multi-
level marketing business opportunity. The products
are great and you are a raving fan.

Most people would just start promoting the website
the company supplies. I say no. This is a perfect
opportunity to implement the use of a squeeze page and offer something of value first.

That way, you collect the leads, you follow-up with
an introduction of yourself and begin building a
long lasting business relationship.

In sales, what we are really selling is “us” first,
then the product.

You always want to provide value first. Once your
prospects warm up to you, then it’s time to ask the
right questions to determine if your product or
business opportunity can help solve their needs.

If you’d like to see a high quality, high converting
squeeze page that James has put together, you
can visit the link below.

It’s important to read the “thank you” page on the
other side you can get an idea of how the whole
process works.

Until next time…

Yours in success,

Key to better websites.

Filed Under (SEO, internet marketing, web design) by Chris Dockery on 20-09-2008

One of the primary implications of a well-organized – good website, is to keep your visitors in the website. A website is definitely created for a purpose, unless intended for personal use, which is the minority.

For example, a portfolio website would want to be visited and it’s content viewed. For companies and internet businesses, your website certainly aims to provide product information, to make sales, or somewhat similar.

However, most individuals undoubtly prefer visually captivating designs, so on and so forth. It is undeniable that this causes no harm, but one must put himself(herself) in other people’s shoes,so as to understand how a visitor to the website might think, do and react.

Let us think for a moment about ‘Navigation’ – or in other words consider the implications of how easy or otherwise it is for your visitors to find his or her way around your website.

As I said, a web designer has to learn how to think the way your visitors think.

Consider the the following two examples:

Situation A : Website with good navigation (2-3 hyperlinks to target page), well planned in terms of placement, and design.

Situation B : Website with poor navigation (takes forever for the visitor to reach his or her target page),hard-to-read navigation fonts and poor placement of the navigation button bar.

In Situation A, a visitor will always want to be able to access his(her) target page. For example, the individual comes across your website, and is interested in the product sold, but wants to find more information. He(she) finds the navigation with no trouble, and enters the particular product information page.

As for Situation B, a visitor stumbles into the website, and would also like to find out more information about the product. Unfortunately, due to bad placement and fanciful font-types, the visitor takes forever,or even fails to find the navigation bar. Even when he(she) does so, links to the product information are nowhere to be found, (example : home – about – products – product image – etc…a few more clicks..- product information).

Analysis : In both situations, wouldn’t a website with characteristics similar to the Situation ‘A’ be more rewarding and be far more likely to keep your visitors on your site and therefore much more likely to purchase.

In situation’B’ Your visitor is likely to become frustrated and quickly lose patience and leave your site without even bothering to look around to see what you have to offer far less purchase from you.

So start thinking the way your visitors think and provide them with an enjoyable experience that will keep them looking around your site.

That is what I aim to do on on my website. Why don’t YOU start thinking the way Your Visitors do. There is no doubt that your increased profits will show the wisdom of this.
